Key job responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally on collaboration to fluently engage with diverse engineering disciplines, effectively advocate for hardware system requirements, board bring up, pcba assembly, and ensure alignment for overall system success.
- Works closely with the production test team to define DVT, Qualification and production test requirements.
- Develop, designs, and test of ASIC and subsystems and systems.
- Derive HW specifications for the KMM system.
- Performs root cause analysis on products, technical problems, processes and documentation.
- Assess feasibility of various designs in support of architectural definition.
- Participate in subsystem design and prototyping, schematic capture, prototype bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification, and signal characterization.
- Evaluate and characterize new technology, prototypes and RF components.
- Support manufacturing engineers on production testing of RF avionics components and systems.
- Evaluates systems and directs design modifications.
- Troubleshoots and repairs circuits and fixtures.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability
- Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
- 5+ years of experience in firmware integration with factory software
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
