Sr. Global Workday Platform Release Administrator
About the role
The Sr. Global Workday Platform Release Administrator leads, manages, and analyzes release management activities for Workday to include ancillary, change, Workday bi-annual releases with a focus on impact, risk and stakeholder relationships. The position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of Workday releases, ensuring seamless delivery of updates and changes to The Nature Conservancy’s Workday environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and specific expertise to business teams on products/systems.
- Conduct analysis of business or technical user needs, documenting requirements and developing system specifications.
- Act as a liaison between IT and end users to ensure Workday release compatibility and satisfaction.
- Adapt and/or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
- Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for IT tasks.
- Write and maintain detailed systems documentation, including user manuals and technical manuals.
- Establish control policies in accordance with best practices and define benchmarks and measures.
- Ensure proper coordination and collaboration with other teams.
- Willing to travel and work flexible long hours and on weekends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and/or combined equivalent of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience as a business or technical profession in Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years technical or general project management experience.
- 3-5 years implementation experience in Workday with a focus on HCM and Finance with a release and deployment focus.
- Experience in defining and documenting complex systems requirements.
- Experience in communicating effectively with internal and external audiences.
- Certification in relevant disciplines (if necessary).
- Experience with Workday release cycles, to include planning, testing, and deploying updates across functional areas.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with comfort presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- 5-7 years expert facilitation and Business Relationship Management skills.
- Workday certifications or hands-on experience with HCM, Financials, Workday deployment practices.
- Experience with or knowledge of change management protocols and training delivery.
- Prior experience in matrixed organizations.
- Prior non-profit experience.
- Ability to manage resources, develop and execute project plans, and address resource gaps with internal and external teams.
- Experience managing multiple interdependencies across third-party platforms (e.g., Phenom, Broadbean, DocuSign, background check systems), banking and payroll integrations, internal IT and reporting systems.

This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $77,920-$125,732 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
