This role will lead a global procurement team to manage sourcing activity, develop category strategy, and source the best suppliers from the global market.
Responsibilities
- Develop category strategy, execute category strategy to optimize supplier base, and drive out material saving/avoidance through negotiation, localization, 2nd source, VA/VE projects
- Manage supplier performance, drive suppliers to continue improving their cost, lead-time, MOQ, and quality, and develop dual source for key components
- Lead a global procurement team to ensure the team is working in the right direction and in an efficient process, support new projects, select the right suppliers, and manage project timelines
- Sign contracts with key suppliers to protect our business, support plant to expedite materials to fulfill customer orders and grow revenue
- Optimize team organization structure, build a high-efficiency and professional procurement team, and be fully compliant
- Cross BU category synergy to maximize savings for T&L, and continue to improve our supplier base by global benchmarking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering, Master's degree preferred
- Procurement experience in the automotive industry, global supplier sourcing, negotiation, contract, and management skills
- Strong category management, time management, and sense of urgency
- Customer focus, strong communication skills, and data analysis
- Ability to be flexible for changes and new requests, be proactive, and have direct report management skills

Pay
The salary range for this position is $140,800 - $203,860, depending on location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Schedule
This role requires up to 20% travel.
