About the role

We are looking for passionate and talented Software Development Engineers to join the Amazon Connect team. Amazon Connect is an AI-powered customer experience solution that enables superior outcomes at a lower cost. Since its 2017 launch, it has transformed how organizations interact with their customers. This role offers a rare opportunity to shape a fast-growing service and solve complex engineering and algorithmic problems.

As a Front End Engineer, you will own code end-to-end, from design to development, and work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS. You will help design and deliver scalable, resilient systems with a constant customer focus, working across modern web technologies, SOA, NoSQL databases, AI, ML, and Big Data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end code for Amazon Connect, ensuring scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate with senior technical leaders and cross-functional teams, including UX, PM, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Participate in bi-weekly sprint planning, daily standups, and project meetings.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute feature code for teammates.
• Solve real customer problems with a focus on usability and impact.
• Engage in weekly operational meetings, lunch-and-learns, and career coaching sessions.
• Attend team events to build strong working relationships.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of non-internship professional front-end, web, or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of experience creating prototypes or wireframes for enterprise web applications or workflows.
• Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g., React.js, AngularJS, Vue).
• Sound understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical industry experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST.
• Experience with a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.
• Ability to work across the stack with modern web applications, NoSQL databases, AI, ML, and Big Data technologies.
• Passion for learning and tackling new challenges.
• Strong customer focus and sensitivity to customer needs.

Pay

Base salary range: $168,100.00 - $227,400.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA). Your compensation package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
