Sr. FPGA Design Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. FPGA Design Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will focus on designing and supporting safety-critical FPGA solutions that contribute to advanced aircraft technology. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering partners to define requirements, develop robust implementations, and help ensure high product quality throughout the development lifecycle. The position also offers the opportunity to influence the technology roadmap for the company's aviation systems. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Collaborate in a cross-functional development environment Define FPGA requirements and carry out design and simulations Conduct code synthesis and hardware integration Provide test support for multiple FPGA projects Contribute to the technology roadmap for the company's avionics systems Maintain high product quality through peer review Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent 8+ years of full-cycle electronics hardware development experience Professional experience with FPGA design, simulation, and synthesis tools Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent preferred Experience with safety-critical FPGA development (DO-254 level A/B) preferred Proven product ownership experience, including development and field support preferred Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile development life cycle preferred Benefits Opportunity to work on safety-critical systems Impactful work on aircraft technology and capabilities Limited travel requirements from headquarters locations Engagement in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment Involvement in cutting-edge FPGA projects that shape future technology Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
