Sr. Forklift Mechanic

About the role

Perform preventive maintenance and all routine maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained and running in good condition using safe work habits. Diagnose and repair hydraulic problems and complex electrical problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and service
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and complex electrical problems
• Fuel refrigerated trailers with diesel
• Follow company policies and procedures, including adherence to safe work practices
• Adapt to overlapping demands and interruptions

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in multi maintenance experience within an industrial environment
• Working knowledge of gasoline and propane engines
• Working knowledge of electric forklifts
• Good basic math skills (including percentages, fractions, and decimals)
• Able to meet physical demands: walking, standing, lifting up to 50+ pounds, crouching, and crawling in confined areas
• Able to work in environments with chemical smells, dust, dirt, extreme heat and cold, and noise
