About the Role

As a Forklift Service / Material Handling Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting material handling equipment in the warehouse. You will perform preventative maintenance, demonstrate strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot customer equipment problems and confer with customers to obtain approval before making repairs.
• Complete each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
• Maintain your own parts inventory and obtain parts from other sources as needed.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, including maintenance records, work orders, and repair histories.
• Coordinate repairs and schedule service.
• Manage your workload effectively while following all company policies and procedures, particularly those involving safety.
• Assist with battery maintenance, battery watering, connectors, and cable repairs.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to work productively with all levels of the organization as a team player.
