Sr. Food Technologist

Our focus is on catering to Quick Service Restaurants, Fast Casual, Casual Dining, and food manufacturers, providing exceptional flavor solutions tailored to their unique needs.

This position is 100% on-site at our Eastvale, California facility.

Responsibilities

• Creates novel seasonings for various items with minimum oversight.
• Matches seasonings to various applications.
• Contacts vendors for novel ingredients and technology.
• Collaborates with internal and external teams, including sales, business development, quality assurance, operations, and customer service.
• Manages projects, ensuring timely communication and meeting deadlines.
• Provides formulas, ingredient statements, and usage instructions.
• Conducts sensory evaluations on products.
• Provides technical and operational support as needed.
• Trains and develops R&D personnel.
• Works with QA on labeling and food safety.
• Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to create and implement business models.
• Interacts with customers.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Sauce experience (hot fill and cold fill technology).

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of methods and ingredients.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and ingredient labeling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Strong time management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
• Ability to work well under pressure and achieve set goals.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-motivation to fulfill deadlines.

Travel

10% travel required.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000–$90,000.
