Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant

Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, statement of equity, and cash flows
- Own key areas of the close related to reporting schedules, roll forwards, and disclosure support
- Ensure consistency between financial statement face pages, supporting schedules, and footnotes
- Partner with the Consolidations team on intercompany eliminations, FX, and equity activity
- Ensure the intercompany reports are reviewed
- Prepare and maintain financial statement footnotes, including:
- Debt and covenant disclosures
- Equity and mezzanine equity
- Leases (ASC 842)
- Revenue and customer concentration
- Impairments and significant judgments
- Coordinate directly with external auditors and respond to audit requests
Technical Accounting Support
- Assist with the application and documentation of complex accounting matters (e.g., ASC 810, ASC 842, equity transactions, asset impairments)
- Prepare technical memos and support conclusions reached by Technical Accounting
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assist with implementation impact analysis
Process Improvement & Controls
- Improve financial reporting processes, templates, and documentation
- Support SOX-like controls, audit trails, and review procedures
- Partner with systems teams to enhance NetSuite reporting and automation
- Contribute to accounting policy documentation and reporting standards as the company scales
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with FP&A on variance explanations and management reporting
- Support M&A, financing, and corporate transactions from a reporting perspective
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support to senior leadership
- Cook up with external consultants and auditors to support financial reporting requirements
Education & Experience
- Job Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
- Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) experience strongly preferred
- Experience with private equity-backed or highly leveraged companies preferred
- Real estate, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industry experience a plus
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA Required

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive, ownership-driven approach with the ability to operate independently.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros) and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Experience with financial consolidations and multi-entity reporting.
- Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
