Primary Purpose
Responsible for quarterly and annual reporting to investors, the FERC, partners and lenders including preparation of financial statements (including balance sheet, P&L, equity and cash flow statements), footnote disclosures and MD&A.
Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly and annual GAAP reporting to investors, partners and lenders, including preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and MD&A.
- Assist with FERC regulatory annual and quarterly reporting (Form 2/3Q and Form 6/6Q).
- Act as key coordinator across all business units to ensure timely and accurate flow of information.
- Proactively identify and implement internal process improvements in order to optimize efficiencies, improve the quality of analysis, and develop new reports for Senior Management.
- Assist in serving as a technical accounting resource, including staying current on proposed and existing pronouncements as well as researching issues as they arise.
- Interact with various levels of corporate personnel (e.g. Accountants to Senior Management) and respond to inquiries on close reporting.
- Serve as liaison to the external auditors.
- Aid in internal control compliance for the corporate accounting group financial processes and ensure accounting policies support compliance efforts.
- Ad hoc special projects as necessary.
- Foster a positive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.

- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional accounting experience, including public accounting experience with a national CPA firm or equivalent, preferably at a corporate engagement level.
- Ability to interpret and document the applicability of GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Experience with XBRL reporting a plus.
- Familiarity with FERC chart of accounts and regulatory accounting a plus.
- Experience with consolidations of multiple business units that include inter/intra-company transactions.
- Accounting/financial system experience is a plus: e.g., Oracle, Workiva, Hyperion.
- Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position will be $80,000-$110,000/yr.
