Key Responsibilities
- Serve as key finance partner to Molecular Biology Business Unit by analyzing performance drivers, supporting pipeline and funnel reviews, and ensuring disciplined execution against revenue and margin targets
- Partner directly with the Director / General Manager, Cloning & Services (C&S) performance through actionable financial insights, executive-level communication, KPI tracking, NPI support and revenue analysis
- Direct financial support of Molecular Biology Operating Expense budget
- Collaborate with the Molecular Biology FP&A leader to develop and refine monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and clear visibility to risks and opportunities
- Deliver price, volume, mix, and customer analytics to inform commercial and portfolio decision-making
- Define and monitor critical performance metrics, and proactively drive initiatives to meet or exceed targets
- Build and enhance financial models to support investment decisions, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement (PPI) within finance processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Leverage systems and tools to automate reporting and streamline analytics where possible
Keys to Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related discipline (MBA or CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a global, matrixed organization
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers and business strategy
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Hyperion Planning, SmartView, or comparable financial systems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information for executive audiences
- Prominent ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment with a willingness to embrace new challenges
Compensation And Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
