Sr. Financial Analyst (Hybrid - Rockford IL)
About the role
This position reports to the Sr. Finance Manager at the Rockford Site and will be responsible for accounting and analytical functions with a strong focus on maintaining the site ERP System to provide accurate financial data, production reports, spending variance analysis, sales analysis, financial reports, and month-end closing documents. With this data, the role will work with management to better manage the business and maximize profits. This position will play a key role in continuous improvement of processes and information, providing item-level analysis for discussions with production and project management teams, and supporting sales with margin and pricing analysis for customer negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the process of accounting for jobs and maintenance of cost systems.
- Maintains inventory values and prepares inventory management reports.
- Coaches, mentors, and provides continuous support to Cost Accountants and the Finance team for day-to-day internal problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Supports key site and corporate continuous improvement initiatives to drive optimization and efficiency of processes, systems, and technology.
- Works closely with the Sr. Finance Manager and Executive Finance Director to deliver and improve site and corporate reporting.
- Assists in financial reports and analysis that support site operations, including production reports, job costing analysis, monthly expenses by department versus budget, headcount, and real-time financial reports as requested.
- Responsible for overseeing the processing of sales invoices and credit memos, ensuring accurate invoicing to customers.
- Performs daily analysis of manufacturing variances and JDE integrity reports; works with appropriate resources to resolve data integrity issues.
- Helps report timely and accurate financial results.
- Completes monthly sales, profitability, and financial analysis.
- Assists in fiscal year budget preparation.
- Participates in the annual review of SOX controls and maintenance of proper internal control systems.
- Assists in the development, adaptation, or revision of accounting systems to meet the needs of the site.
- Participates in all site external and internal audit requirements.
- Ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Closes out completed jobs and prepares gross margin reports.
- Prepares/reviews cost journal entries and ensures accuracy of system-created cost entries.
- Works with Business Units to minimize aged inventory and keep add-bills current.
- Acts as a backup Cost Analyst for internal communications and troubleshooting.
- May require overtime to meet deadlines.
- Adheres to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and rules.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
- Primarily an onsite role with some flexibility as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 4-6 years of experience.
- College-level mathematical skills.
- Intermediate computer skills: ability to perform complex computer tasks and knowledge of various computer programs.
- Full professional proficiency: ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
- Very high reasoning: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.

Pay
The hiring rate for this position is $77,600 - $87,300 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
