We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the organization’s financial planning and decision-making process by providing insightful financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact on the financial health and strategic direction of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Performing detailed financial analysis including advanced financial modeling, profitability analysis, monitoring business issues and impact to bottom line.
  • Preparing comprehensive procurement, invoicing, construction in process, and fixed asset reports.
  • Conducting variance analysis and identifying trends to provide insights on business performance and financial indicators.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
  • Using SQL reporting tools to extract, analyze, and present data from various databases.
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
  • Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Guiding cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
  • Proven expertise in SQL reporting, procurement reporting and analysis, invoicing reporting and analysis, construction in process reporting and analysis, and fixed assets reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and perform data analysis.
  • Extensive experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential business risks.
  • A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
