About the role

The organization operates within the real estate services and facilities management sector, focusing on managing office facilities globally with a strict adherence to Key Performance Indicators outlined in management agreements and policies. It addresses the challenge of maintaining operational efficiency and financial control across large-scale property management accounts. The SR. FINANCE MANAGER leads financial control activities for a global real estate services account. This role is responsible for overseeing financial management, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and providing strategic financial advice to support operational and budgetary goals. The position plays a crucial role in managing financial risks and opportunities, maintaining accurate reporting, and driving financial efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as finance lead and advisor to the account director
• Maintain high standards of financial control and internal systems
• Manage finance function and supervise the finance team
• Anticipate client financial needs to add tangible value
• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of expenses and tax implications
• Prepare global budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports
• Conduct forecasting, financial modeling, and expense analysis
• Oversee cash management and expense disbursements
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to budgets and forecasts
• Maintain financial ledgers, accounting processes, and controls
• Produce timely internal financial reports
• Prepare monthly funding and financial reports for clients, including currency translation and global reporting
• Prepare consolidated profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• Collaborate with regional accounting leads to ensure compliance with global standards
• Participate in and potentially lead training programs for financial employees
• Lead meetings to discuss financial strategies and issues
• Identify best practices to enhance efficiency and quality
• Communicate regularly with global finance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Preferred graduate work or CPA certification
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in real estate, including 5 years in commercial property management
• At least 5 years supervisory experience
• Understanding of SOC1 Compliance
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Experience with real estate accounting systems, preferably Yardi
• Experience with audit functions
• Proven department head experience including planning, budgeting, and personnel management
• Ability to manage and develop a team of financial professionals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commercially minded with problem-solving abilities
• Highly motivated and goal-oriented
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
