Sr. Field Service Technician

About the role

Xylem is a global water technology company dedicated to solving water challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions. We are seeking a Field Service Technician Level 2 to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
• Troubleshoot of electrical control panels
• General understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
• Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment
• Preventative maintenance and emergency callouts
• Operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers
• Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
• Working with various Company provided hand and power tools
• Accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system
• Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations
• Take care of company property
• Demonstrates High Impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment
• Must be able to function in a team environment
• Travel Requirements: Daily local travel required, up to 50% overnight stays, depending on location

Qualifications

• Education Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience Requirements: 2 to 5 years of technical work experience
• Skills Requirements: Electrically and mechanically inclined, demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability, comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly, Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
