Sr. Facilities Representative
About the role
Mckesson is seeking a Senior Facilities Representative to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of our facilities. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, coordinate repairs, and help ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for employees and business operations. This position requires a strong working knowledge of commercial building systems and the ability to independently resolve moderately complex maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building infrastructure.
- Respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot facility issues, and complete repairs to support safe and efficient building operations.
- Conduct routine facility inspections, identify maintenance or safety concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Cover facility operations through office moves, equipment installations, building improvement projects, security monitoring, and seasonal maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and facility repairs
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance requests, or facility service tickets
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, schematics, or equipment documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Trade certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, facilities maintenance, or a related field
- Experience working in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, or large commercial environments
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and facility monitoring systems
- Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers
- Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Physical Requirements
- Primarily onsite role supporting facility operations
- May require occasional local travel between facilities or vendor locations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work around mechanical equipment and facility infrastructure while following established safety procedures
Pay
