Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Sr Facilities Engineer with our medical device client in North Haven, CT. This is a 24-month contract with a potential for extension. Pay: $50.00 - $60.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description: The Senior Facilities Engineer - Sterilization will be responsible for analysis, design, and support of all facility engineering related to the multi-year sterilization infrastructure projects at the MDT North Haven, CT campus. They will serve as the owners-rep engineer on a broad array of projects at a clean medical device manufacturing facility including HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers, dry compressed air, etc. Position Responsibilities - A Day In the Life Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilitiesGathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibilityCoordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawingsPrepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisitionReviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costsInspects or directs the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedulesTravel to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs Must Haves:Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of Facility Mechanical infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure, and Building Automation Systems experience OR Master's Degree and 2+ years of experience Nice to HaveMechanical system knowledge (HVAC, electrical, building automation, plumbing systems)Experience supporting design/build of clean rooms, chiller plants, compressed air plantsAbility to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematicsExperience with integrated building solutions including temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management and alarming, zoned lighting control and facility access controlTridium/Niagara or Siemens Client experienceFacility Commissioning experience Specialist Career Stream: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty.Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University). Required Knowledge and Experience:Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.May have practical knowledge of project management.Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
