About the role
The Senior Event Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in converting and closing high-value group bookings, ranging from standard social events to large corporate buyouts. This position requires navigating complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles with confidence and building long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Navigate multi-stakeholder decision-making, longer timelines, and higher-complexity contracts with confidence
- Match every client to the right venue, package, and custom experience for their group size and goals
- Own the full sales cycle for groups of 13 and above, from standard social events to large-scale corporate buyouts
- Build and grow your territory by developing relationships with companies, organizations, and community groups
- Work toward a quarterly quota, paid monthly on a tiered basis
- Pass leads to the Call Center or Enterprise segments if necessary
- Lead BEO meetings and ensure flawless execution from contract to celebration
- Stay with the guest and follow up post-event to deepen relationships and grow repeat and referral pipelines
- Show up when it counts, especially during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Proven background in group or event sales, hospitality, or a related field
- Experience with large or complex events
- Track record of managing a high-value pipeline and closing deals with multiple decision-makers
- Confident prospector who builds relationships naturally and follows through consistently
- Strong communicator and presenter
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Feedback-driven and coachable
- Comfortable with Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and GEMS
- Adaptable to different types of events
Qualifications
- Track record of success in similar roles
- Experience with video calls and maintaining professional presence
- Knowledge of GEMS (likely referring to a scheduling or resource management tool)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
