About the role
Innovative Captive Strategies is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of client events, captive meetings, conferences, and travel programs. This role combines event strategy, logistics, budgeting, vendor management, and onsite event leadership to deliver exceptional experiences for clients and partners.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute meetings, conferences, and client events from start to finish.
- Manage hotel contracts, room blocks, registration websites, attendee communications, transportation, food & beverage, and event logistics.
- Build and manage event budgets, vendor contracts, and final reconciliations.
- Serve as the primary contact for hotels, venues, suppliers, and destination management companies.
- Led onsite event operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Identify new venues, destinations, and creative attendee experiences.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of event planning, meeting management, hospitality, travel, or related experience.
- Strong project management, organizational, and budgeting skills.
- Experience with Cvent, Canva, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and international travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.
- Experience with event technology platforms such as Cvent.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
