Sr Estimator

Responsibilities

• Manage the estimation process through collaboration with various stakeholders to understand deliverables, develop competitive project bids.
• Ensure the bid team has the necessary inputs to produce high-quality work that aligns with the organization's objectives and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, review and analyze project plans, and provide guidance and support to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Prepare proposals by studying specifications and arriving at inclusion and exclusion lists, technical qualifications/assumptions/deviations.
• Prepare technical submittals such as system architecture, floor risers, schematics, and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Use P&E estimating tools like CPQ, SWAT, and PlanSwift for estimating.
• Prepare point counts and cost/price per square foot along with subcontractor scope that matches the scope used for SWAT, providing these to the estimate reviewers.
• Perform quality checks for the jobs.
• Contribute towards establishing and standardizing new processes for cost optimization and cycle time reduction.
• Contribute to the development of solutions that meet customer requirements by applying knowledge and understanding of Honeywell products.
• Manage estimates and/or projects to standards, budgets.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years work experience in relevant field.
• Extensive knowledge of Building Automation Controls design and code compliance, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm).
• Ability to manage estimates and/or projects to standards, budgets.
• MS Office (Excel & word) competency.
• Working hours' flexibility to meet deadlines.
• Pre-sales process knowledge.
• Able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders from different geographic regions in multiple time zones.
• Balance in speed & accuracy to meet timelines.
• Exposure to Building Management System (BMS), or a willingness to learn.
• Good communication, both verbal and written.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple estimates and deliver on time.

About the Role

As a Sr Estimator focused primarily on Building Automation Systems, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, and Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm), you will play a crucial role in our Pre-bid process. This position involves managing the estimation process through collaboration with various stakeholders to understand deliverables, develop competitive project bids. The Senior Estimator ensures that the bid team has the necessary inputs to produce high-quality work that aligns with the organization's objectives and standards.

Schedule

Hybrid 3/2 Work Schedule. For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. After 90 days, you will be able to move to the hybrid schedule.
