Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) activities across the plant, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and full implementation of action plans.
- Drive achievement of ESH targets by promoting a strong safety culture, continuous improvement, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Oversee planning and execution of ESH programs, including occupational safety, environmental protection, plant security, fire prevention, and occupational health services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal ESH requirements, including permits, audits, and inspections.
- Lead risk management and emergency preparedness by conducting risk assessments, implementing crisis response plans, and ensuring effective incident investigation and corrective actions.
- Manage ESH budget and cost center, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and achievement of financial targets.
- Monitor and report ESH performance through KPIs, driving data-based improvements and standardization across the organization.
- Develop and coach employees and leaders on ESH principles, delivering training programs and fostering continuous capability building.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, natural sciences or related discipline
- 7+ years of professional experience in various ESH functions
- 2+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing processes
- Advanced experience in implementation and management of security systems, fire prevention and protection systems, health management, environmental protection and occupational safety management systems, hazardous substance management.
- Advanced knowledge in implementation of ESH legislation, principles, framework, methods and tools
- Advanced knowledge in problem solving and decision making
- Advanced communication skills (incl. presentation, change management, negotiation and conflict resolution techniques)
- Project management skills, tools and techniques preferred
