Responsibilities
- Lead site Environmental, Health, Safety, Security (EHSS) programs, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement objectives.
- Develop, track, and report EHSS metrics, conduct safety assessments, and implement corrective actions to achieve site goals.
- Manage EHSS compliance audits, track findings and corrective actions, and participate in corporate, regional, and site EHS meetings.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHSS policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Administer and maintain RC14001/Responsible Care and ISO management systems, including audits, training, and document control.
- Cook up and deliver EHSS training programs, ensuring employee competency and compliance with environmental, safety, and process safety requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, industrial hygiene programs, workers' compensation support, and corrective action implementation.
- Manage Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, including MOCs, PHAs, HAZOPs, compliance reviews, and process safety documentation.
- Oversee environmental compliance, waste management, DOT requirements, permit adherence, inspections, and regulatory reporting activities.
- Serve as the site TSCA Coordinator, support EHSS communications initiatives, and provide leadership for all site safety, environmental, health, security, and quality programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; Chemical, Health and Safety, Industrial or Environmental Engineering, preferred
- 3+ years of experience in ESH, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Experience with management systems preferred, ISO9001 and RC14001
- Strong communication skills are a requirement of the position in addition to the ability to work effectively in a multi-user environment
