EHS Specialist

Job Summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a EHS Specialist to support our client's team. Core Skills & Competencies include decision-making skills to evaluate EHS risks, identifying hazards, performing risk assessments, and collaborating to support corrective actions. Basic knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations, effective communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and willingness to learn and grow in the EHS profession are preferred qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.), coordinate comprehensive risk assessments, develop site risk register, and drive corrective actions through root cause analysis and prioritization. Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Training & Culture Building: Deliver targeted training programs on risk awareness, PSM, and JHA best practices, lead site-wide safety campaigns, and foster a proactive safety culture. Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and recommend process improvements.
• Environmental Stewardship: Support environmental compliance activities for air, wastewater, waste management, groundwater, and stormwater programs, SPCC, CERCLA, and community right-to-know requirements. Coordinate environmental compliance activities.
• Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency response planning and support alignment with internal teams. Support post-incident analysis to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support contractor safety programs and ensure alignment with site protocols.
