Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician - Front End Days (FED)
About the role
Fujifilm Dimatix, Inc. is a global leader in the manufacturing and design of durable and productive drop-on-demand inkjet printheads. We are seeking a Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician who can contribute to the development of innovative concepts and techniques, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and make recommendations for improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment for production lines.
- Diagnose and repair downed equipment, and make recommendations for periodic equipment maintenance.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts and repairs.
- Rebuild manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for improved performance.
- Make recommendations and perform equipment modifications in support of supervisors, managers, and engineers.
- Identify Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to maintain stability of equipment.
- Train peers on process and operational improvement and equipment maintenance.
- Schedule and work with outside contractors for equipment maintenance covered by service contracts.
- Lead or supervise the activities of other non-exempt personnel.
- Collect and evaluate operating and process data to recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent with 6 or more years of related experience.
- Experience with high vacuum equipment, lithography tools, wet benches, and measurement equipment.
- Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of WIP management principles.
- Training in proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.
Skills
- Highly skilled specialist in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Pay and Schedule
The pay rate for this position is $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position schedule is a Compressed Work Week - Front End Days, with a schedule of 5:30 am - 6:00 pm, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.
Supervisor Responsibility
May lead or supervise the activities of other non-exempt personnel and may lead or supervise other technicians in tasks or projects to improve operational processes.
Physical Demands
The work environment involves standing or walking, use of hands to finger, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, kneeling, crouching or crawling over two-thirds of the time. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs over two-thirds of the time. Must have normal color vision and be able to identify wiring color codes.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a wafer fabrication and clean room environment, requiring clean room gowning (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.). Exposure to moderate noise levels, stored energy hazards, hazardous chemicals, and hazardous waste handling is also part of the job.

Additional responsibilities may include collecting and evaluating operating and process data to recommend process improvements, leading or supervising the activities of other non-exempt personnel, and participating in safety forums, emergency response teams, and station improvement teams.
