Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment for production lines.
  • Assist engineering staff in establishing and implementing periodic equipment maintenance.
  • Schedule and coordinate with outside contractors for equipment maintenance covered by service contracts.
  • Identify Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure stability of equipment.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Train peers on process and operational improvements and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform equipment modifications as directed by supervisors, managers, and engineers.
  • Contribute to safety forums, emergency response teams, and station improvement teams.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Experience with high vacuum equipment, lithography tools, wet benches, and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with minimal assistance.
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and able to follow instructions.
  • Fast learner and able to adapt to new assignments.
  • Trained in proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.

Skills

  • Skilled in completing tasks creatively and effectively.

Pay and Schedule

The pay rate for this position is $32.00 - $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The schedule is a Compressed Work Week - Front End Days, with hours from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.

Supervisor Responsibility

Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel.

Physical Demands

  • Standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Using hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Normal color vision and ability to identify wiring color codes.

Work Environment

  • Wafer fabrication and clean room environment requiring clean room gowning.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to stored energy hazards (electricity, compressed gases, etc.).
  • Facility housing hazardous chemicals.
  • Handling hazardous waste in accordance with safe work practices.
