Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, and supervise maintenance TMs on basic facility maintenance.
- Maintain and order parts and reconcile packaging slips with invoices in preparation for payment.
- Cook up coordination outside contractors, as needed, to perform needed repairs.
- Maintain inventory of basic parts.
- Inspect and diagnose problems and determine the best way to correct them, frequently checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Use common hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers as well as specialized equipment and electronic testing devices.
- Follow checklists, including inspection of drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance functions.
- Communicate and maintain safety and security standards and follow all GMP guidelines.
- Attend Safety committee meetings.
- Consistently communicate, uphold, and embody Whole Foods Market's standards, vision, and Philosophy.
- Establish and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships.
Requirements
- Some working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret repair manuals, parts catalogues, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operation/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to details, ability to prioritize, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, on-line ordering, and troubleshooting through vendor websites.
- Able to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to fellow team members and customers.
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility.
- High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork.
- Proper use of equipment which may include but not limited to, knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler (age restrictions may apply), and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and store.
- Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Benefits
The wage range for this position is $25.20-$43.14 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
