The Opportunity

In this role, you will direct all aspects of the largest and most complex Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) projects, including risk to safety, quality, cost, and schedule, with senior accountability for:

  • Safety, quality, and construction execution
  • Field leadership and labor productivity
  • Subcontractor and labor strategy
  • Project controls and commercial risk
  • Startup/commissioning integration

You will lead the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of safety, quality, performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, contractual compliance, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing for the successful staffing of the project
  • Directing and leading large teams of multi-discipline professionals, including project managers, site/construction leaders, and integrated EPC project teams across one or more major projects
  • Coordinating and integrating the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third-party companies contributing to the initiative

Responsibilities

  • Direct the largest, most complex EPC projects or groups of EPC projects, with senior accountability for safe construction execution, quality, client outcomes, schedule, financial performance, commercial risk, and project recovery
  • Provide senior direction to project managers, project directors, construction leaders, and integrated EPC teams across engineering, procurement, construction, startup/commissioning, project controls, commercial, quality, and safety
  • Resolve the highest-risk construction, labor, subcontractor, schedule, cost, commercial, client, and execution issues on major EPC work
  • Manage multiple clients and/or accountable for implementing expanded new business objectives
  • Oversee and deliver opportunities for new/repeat business, finalizing key contract negotiations with client executives and project managers
  • Manage broad and varied complex risk profile, including enterprise-level EPC execution, construction productivity, labor strategy, subcontractor performance, site execution, and recovery risk

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically 18 years of experience
  • Senior leadership of the largest and most complex EPC projects or groups of projects
  • Construction execution leadership; field and site leadership
  • Labor strategy and subcontractor performance management
  • Labor productivity and project recovery
  • Project controls and commercial risk management
  • Executive client engagement
  • Leadership of project managers/project directors on complex EPC work

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
