Sr. Environmental, Health & Safety Manager
About the role
The Plant Senior EHS Specialist will focus on plant EHS initiatives, rollout safety policies, and think outside the box to help take the EHS program to the next level. This role requires someone who enjoys working independently as well as in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Safeguarding safe practices in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements
- Acting as an OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance resource
- Leading or participating in incident investigations (injury, property damage, near-hit, environmental deviations, etc.) and root cause analysis
- Working with the plant operations team to determine appropriate corrective/preventative action
- Performing risk and hazard assessments/inspections to determine employee risk/exposure and suggesting/driving actions to mitigate/reduce them
Requirements
- 7 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior Safety Specific Training (OSHA 30 Hour, Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, etc.)
- Working knowledge of federal safety and environmental laws (e.g. OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Ability to work with respective outside agencies and contracted employees
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to use various software applications to analyze, monitor data, create reports, and presentations
- Demonstrated Root-Cause analysis skills (RCCA, 5-Whys)
Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Skills
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in using various software applications.

Pay
$110,000 – $120,000 annually
Schedule
85 hourly employees in a 24/7 operation. Warehouse operates on 8-hour shifts & Production operates on 12-hour shifts.
