Sr Engineers, Software
About the role
Sr Engineers, Software located in Atlanta, GA will work with a team of software engineers to design, implement, and deploy complete systems which meet customer's requirements and are cloud native.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance full stack software solutions by implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular frameworks.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices integrating with internal and external systems through cloud services across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
- Utilize services including GCP Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
- Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms using Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT-based security models.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Create server-side rendered user interfaces using Thymeleaf and develop interactive front-end components using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Design and implement data persistence layers using relational databases including MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Deploy and manage containerized and cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and PCF for scalable and resilient operations.
- Collaborate on architectural design, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to secure coding and performance best practices.
- Contribute to defining and optimizing deployment strategies across development, staging, and production environments.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging cloud technologies and frameworks to enhance scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, or related, or its foreign equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience. OR Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, or related, or its foreign equivalent, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Utilizing front-end development using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Thymeleaf for dynamic user interfaces.
- Working with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) for application deployment and integration.
- Using database design and development using MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment and containerized operations.
Schedule
Work hours: 40 hours/week. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.
Pay
Georgia Pay Range: $165,606.60 to $170,000.00/year. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
