Overview

Waters is seeking an Senior Engineering Technician to join their New Product Introduction team. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electro/mechanical problems in a fast-paced environment. Opportunities exist to contribute or lead daily production requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Aid production with technical support to meet production schedules aligned with quality goals.
  • Lead production areas to support overall production output.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues related to systems, instruments, modules, sub-assemblies, processes, tools, and materials.
  • Provide training to department personnel on assembly, test, and operation of new or existing instruments, equipment, or processes.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to process and/or assembly documentation.
  • Assist in transferring new products, assemblies, equipment, and processes from New Product Introduction into long-term production areas.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electro/Mechanical with 2 years of experience.
  • High school diploma and additional post-secondary education with 4 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and follow written procedures.
  • Basic understanding of using common hand tools (e.g., drivers, torque wrenches, punches, presses, cutters, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of working within the Microsoft Windows environment (navigation and using applications).
