Sr. Engineering Program Manager - Communication, Navigation and Surveillance -"relocation offered"

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Contain scope growth though robust baseline change management.
• Cook up stakeholder communications to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum 10 years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems in the Aerospace industry.
• Gold Level EVMS certification or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
• Experience with CNS products and PE processes.
• Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements.
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Able to travel to customer and internal Honeywell Aerospace meetings both domestically and internationally.

About the Role

The CNS team is a large global team based out of Deer Valley Arizona with design teams in Minneapolis Minnesota, Bangalore India, Hyderabad India, Bruno Czech Republic, Krakow Poland and Beijing China. The CNS team designs, builds, and maintains some of the world’s most valued safety systems within the Aerospace industry. The product line spans from Weather, Radar, Ground Proximity Warning Systems, Instrumented Landing Systems, Communication, Datalink and Navigation Radios, Transponders, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems and Radar Altimeters.
