Sr Engineering Manager - Systems Design

About the role

Mini is looking for a Sr Engineering Manager - Systems Design for our Northridge Office. Must be onsite 4 days/1 day remote.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
• Develops, evaluates, implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
• Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
• Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.
• Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
• Makes sure the design is feasible and can function as intended.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Requirements

• Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department.
• Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
• Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A)) and 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems of systems (control theory and integrated mobile applications).
• Strong influence skills in guiding teams through complex distributed designs across multiple verticals within an organization.

Benefits

At MiniMed, we offer a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $136,000.00 - $230,000.00 For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $150,000.00 -$256,000.00 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertain solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
