About the role

The Sr. Engineering Change Administrator supports the creation, control, release, and maintenance of engineering product data, documentation, and change records. This role ensures engineering changes are processed accurately, consistently, and in alignment with product lifecycle, quality, manufacturing, and enterprise system requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create, route, monitor, and close engineering change requests, engineering change orders, drawing revisions, part records, and related documentation in accordance with defined processes.
  • Review change packages for completeness, accuracy, required approvals, effective dates, affected items, and alignment with documentation standards.
  • Maintain engineering data integrity across product records, bills of material, drawings, specifications, and lifecycle states.
  • Cook up coordination with engineering, product management, operations, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure changes are understood and implemented correctly.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting engineering change management, document control, product data management, manufacturing documentation, quality systems, or a related technical administration function.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, item masters, revision control, or controlled documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, complete, and controlled engineering records.
  • Ability to review detailed information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with defined standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active change records and priorities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools and enterprise business systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems such as SAP, Agile PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting engineering change orders, engineering change requests, new part creation, item master maintenance, or bill of material governance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and the relationship between engineering data and manufacturing execution.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, product development, optical connectivity, electronics, or highly regulated technical environment.
  • Experience creating work instructions, process documentation, training materials, or user support content.

Process Execution: Ability to follow structured workflows, identify gaps, and help improve repeatable engineering change processes.
Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders.
Systems Orientation: Comfort working in PLM, ERP, CAD-adjacent, or document control systems and learning new digital workflows.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Willingness to challenge inefficient processes, support standardization, and contribute to scalable ways of working.

Benefits

$135,000 - $150,000 per year
Variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
