About the role

As a member of the HDR team, you will be supporting the Installation Engineering and Installation Management functions of the Civil Engineer Squadron for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The contract is expected to start in early 2026 and cover an eight-year period.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple Project Managers and project teams as needed to support administrative needs
  • Edit and prepare materials such as project documents, correspondence, reports, records, forms, meeting minutes, scientific or technical material, numerical data, and tabular information from rough draft, corrected copy or previous versions
  • Take responsibility for a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative and accounting functions
  • Compose and develop correspondence and reports
  • Manage project documents and files
  • Answer questions regarding company policies, procedures and guidelines such as company timecards
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, and assist with presentations
  • Exercise good judgment and discretion, and independently resolve
  • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation and format
  • Provide support for staff as needed, including reception duties, answering and directing telephone calls, delivering messages, greeting employees and visitors, and scheduling conference calls and meetings
  • Perform meeting setup, travel arrangements, and other miscellaneous tasks/projects as needed

Requirements

  • Prior Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron experience preferred
  • Ability to work in person and on site at United States Air Force Academy
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Associate Degree
  • US Citizenship – US naturalized citizen (foreign born)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Colorado: $38,780.00 - $55,400.00
