Sr. Engineer - Nuclear Power Engineer, Steam Turbines

About the role

Join ENTRUST's Power Generation group as a full-time Senior Nuclear Power Engineer focused on steam turbines, supporting engineering activities for nuclear power plants. This position offers remote and hybrid schedule options with minimal travel required. You will serve as the subject matter expert and company resource for nuclear steam turbine consulting projects, leading client discussions, mentoring team members, and driving technical excellence. The role includes up to 10-15% travel for site visits, client meetings, and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and lead client meetings, demonstrating technical expertise in turbine and generator engineering.
• Execute projects independently, leveraging deep knowledge of steam turbine systems.
• Mentor younger team members and promote technical excellence across the team.
• Assist management with business opportunities, conferences, and training sessions.
• Interface with industry organizations and support business development initiatives.
• Travel up to 10-15% for site visits, client meetings, and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in power generation engineering at OEMs and/or utilities.
• 5+ years in comparable nuclear industry positions, such as Turbine Engineer, Design Engineer, Equipment/Plant Subject Matter Expert, or Senior Reactor Operator.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering calculations, assessments, and analyses.
• Willingness to travel as required to support projects and business development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering licensure and/or advanced degree.
• Vibration analysis capabilities or certification.
• 5+ years of experience as a Site Turbine Engineer.
• Familiarity with nuclear plant administrative processes and modification/design processes.
• Experience with turbine design, including valves, rotors, blading, and stationaries.
• Turbine operating experience.
• TapRooT root cause analysis qualification.
• SRO certification.
