Sr. Electronics Engineer
About the Role
As a Sr. Electronic Engineer at the Flow Solutions Business Unit, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug hardware and firmware for high accuracy flow and pressure measurement systems. You will support the development of new hardware subsystems, from specification to architecture, simulation, detailed design, component selection, layout, reliability prediction, and test.
Responsibilities
- Design, debug, and board bring-up of analog and digital real-time embedded electronics for microcontroller-based control and communication hardware platforms using simulation, analysis, prototyping, and testing.
- Design analog and digital electronic circuits, including low noise analog circuits, A/D and D/A converters, microcontrollers, communications interfaces, and low power linear and switched-mode power supplies.
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability; review vendor capability to support product development.
- Evaluate designs to meet requirements, considering performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Participate in project activities, including DFMEA, design reviews, and creation of technical specifications.
- Act as a technical interface to the manufacturing team for new product releases.
- Support legacy products as required.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronic hardware design and debugging/testing prototypes.
- Experience with integrating hardware designs with mechanical elements and embedded firmware.
- Knowledge of industrial network communications interfaces and protocols is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with lab debug tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, boundary-scan/JTAG).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience using EDA/PCB tools such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner.
- Experience with EtherCAT, Modbus/TCP, and associated industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with EMI/EMC regulatory testing with respect to design.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods. Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination. Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
Pay
Salary Pay Range: $101,675.00 - $169,475.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate based on factors including qualifications, experience, and operational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
