Packaging Equipment
Electrical/Controls support of various manufacturing areas within the General Surgical Products Focus Factory. This includes being the project lead in manufacturing process improvements, assembly equipment retrofit projects and new equipment procurement.
Responsibilities
- Provide all documentation required to support assembly equipment, including operating instructions, electrical schematics, specifications, parameter settings, software backups, requirement specifications.
- Write FAT, SAT and execution of Installation Qualification (IQ) functional protocol challenges.
- Provide technical support to maintenance as required.
- Address appropriately related manufacturing issues on a daily basis as needed.
- Troubleshoot machine stoppages and provide root cause analysis for manufacturing teams.
- Review and develop process improvements to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of manufacturing systems.
- Communicate and coordinate activities with multiple functional groups both within and outside of operations.
- 10% travel to manufacturing sites and supplier visits required (domestic).
Requirements
- Experience with PLC & Vision platforms (GuardLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix Platforms) and HMI’s (FactoryTalk ME/SE) and Vision Inspection (Cognex, Keyence).
- Ability to read Electrical schematics.
- Experience and experience in diagnosing servo and stepper motion control and controllers.
- Proficient in electrical and controls design with experience using NFPA standards with experience in automated assembly equipment with ability to trouble shooting equipment using conventional diagnostic tools.

Education
- BS Electrical/Controls/Electromechanical Engineering preferred.
