About the role
The Director Client Solutions and Design will interface between the Client, Sales, Operations, Client Services, and Information Technology teams to ensure successful design and implementation of Valeris programs that support clients and their patients. This role focuses on process improvement and quality, capturing best practices for new program launches. You will partner with the Valeris Sales team to align program design with the patient journey and brand strategy, working proactively with sales and subject-matter experts early in opportunity definition to recommend efficient solutions. The role involves assessing program complexity, dividing workload across the team, and managing program assignment meetings with senior leadership. You will also maintain a focus on Tier 1 account launches and ensure program designs adhere to target profit margins.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Valeris Sales team to ensure a clear understanding of concept design while addressing the patient journey and brand strategy.
- Work proactively with sales and market consultant teams early in opportunity definition to recommend efficient solutions focused on quality, speed to market, and internal cost margins.
- Assess program complexity and divide workload across the team of Designers and Implementation Project Managers (IPM).
- Facilitate and manage program assignment meetings with senior leadership, dividing work according to capacity, skillset, and professional development goals.
- Create design playbooks and project manager checklists covering operational capabilities and implementation steps to ensure consistency.
- Serve as an expert resource for the team on program design and project management questions.
- Work with IPMs on program timelines and checklists to ensure consistent communication and processes for all program launches.
- Maintain a focus on Tier 1 account launches and program implementations.
- Ensure client program designs align with custom and non-custom work to adhere to target profit margins.
- Update program pricing quotes in the CRM system as program scope and details evolve.
- Measure launch quality through data analysis of tickets and improve team processes, checklists, and design playbooks accordingly.
- Maintain and improve the library of artifacts for Designers and IPMs, ensuring standards are followed and socialized.
- Collaborate with internal operational stakeholders to stay current on new or updated Valeris services, capabilities, and process changes.
- Maintain a knowledge base for cross-functional team training, onboarding, and sharing best practices with client services.
- Apply lessons learned from previous programs to increase Valeris’ efficiency and effectiveness, documenting process changes.
- Build and maintain strong operational relationships with other Valeris departments.
- Utilize Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success.
- Adhere to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure all SOPs are followed consistently.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of demonstrated strong performance in designing copay and/or HUB programs.
- Strong knowledge of Valeris’ solutions, internal processes, operating tempo, and marketplace.
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques (e.g., SDLC/Agile/Extreme Programming), professional IT services, quality management, and cross-functional team management.
- Negotiation skills to guide client decisions in line with best practices and Valeris capabilities.
- Mastery of facilitating cross-functional meetings (including clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders) to achieve desired results.
- Demonstrated ability to break down technical concepts into technical and non-technical language for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Passion for providing excellent customer service, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated capacity and willingness to take responsibility for delivery from diverse and often distributed teams without formal authority.
- Experience in continuous process improvement and change management.
- Experience in team building, performance management, and individual coaching.
- Ability to prioritize workload based on competing demands.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively listen to and resolve customer issues.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to visit key clients or company internal initiatives.
