Sr. Director, Strategic Finance

What You Will Do
- Lead the R&D and GTM FP&A functions, influencing key business decisions through partnerships with senior leaders.
- Develop and refine the process for assessing the business impact of R&D and GTM investments, connecting investments to operational objectives and financial targets.
- Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
- Build operational and financial models for major projects to quantify ROI and trade-offs between growth and profitability.
- Collaborate across departments to align on budgeting, resource planning, and strategic goals.
- Define and track key performance indicators and productivity metrics for R&D and GTM functions, driving accountability and transparency.
- Hire, mentor, and guide finance team members to foster a high-performance, collaborative, and data-driven culture.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and improve forecasting using AI-based tools.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with at least 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy at a high-growth tech company, including at least 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial and business topics clearly and influence decision-making.
- Proven track record of advising operational and financial improvements across multiple areas in the business.
- Willingness to operate at various levels within the organization, balancing detailed work with broader strategic thinking.
- Advanced modeling skills, including experience with bottoms-up financial modeling and understanding of unit economics.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS and usage-based business models, particularly in the SMB market.
- Ability to handle ambiguous situations, identify key variables, and drive successful outcomes.
- A bias towards action, strong work ethic, and a player-coach mentality, with experience delivering operational results under tight timelines.
- Advanced experience with financial planning tools, AI tools, and BI tools, with a track record of using AI to improve forecasting methodologies or drive process improvements.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $242,000 - $306,000 annually, with bonus pay included.
