Sr. Director Lean Excellence
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director Lean Excellence to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This leader will shape and execute the enterprise Lean strategy, with a focus on building disciplined systems that improve performance across the organization. The role will guide Lean governance, organizational design, and capability development to strengthen operational excellence at scale. You will partner closely with Human Resources and operational leaders to create a sustainable talent pipeline and clear career pathways. This position also plays a key role in advancing supply chain operating discipline and broader business transformation. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and governance of the enterprise Lean strategy.
- Create an effective organizational design for Lean practices across all levels.
- Establish a clear Lean career path and competency expectations.
- Partner with HR to develop a sustainable Lean talent pipeline.
- Lead Lean performance measurement in collaboration with the Operational Excellence team.
- Design and deploy the enterprise supply chain management operating system.
- Drive business transformation through Lean principles to enhance performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management required; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing and Lean.
- Proven track record of building enterprise Lean management systems.
- Experience leading large-scale Lean transformations in global environments.
- Strong capability in designing organizational structures and competency models.
- Expertise in performance measurement and operational excellence practices.
- Lean Master Black Belt preferred, with knowledge in specific Lean methodologies.
Pay
$204,400 – $304,000 annually
