Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise portfolio governance model, including intake, prioritization, investment alignment, and decision support.
  • Chair or co-chair executive governance forums to drive transparent, timely decisions tied to strategic priorities, capacity, and value.
  • Maintain enterprise-level accountability for portfolio health, risk visibility, escalation discipline, and adherence to delivery and governance standards.
  • Partner with executive leaders and business unit heads to translate enterprise strategy into a sequenced, integrated portfolio of initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap that aligns business priorities, enterprise architecture, platform strategy, organizational capacity, and investment planning.
  • Maximize leverage of existing enterprise products and platforms to accelerate value, reduce redundancy, and strengthen ecosystem coherence.
  • Identify where current capabilities can be extended through innovation and where targeted introduction of new tools, automation, or AI is warranted to close gaps, modernize the operating model, and improve speed to value.
  • Continuously adjust priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs in response to changing business needs and technology opportunities.
  • Lead execution of major enterprise programs with strong discipline across scope, timeline, dependencies, risk, and value delivery.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional initiatives spanning business, technology, and vendor workstreams, ensuring solutions are designed as integrated components of the broader enterprise ecosystem rather than stand-alone implementations.
  • Manage critical interdependencies and execution risks while advancing more modern delivery through automation, reusable capabilities, and AI-assisted practices.
  • Establish and continuously evolve enterprise standards, methods, tools, and performance measures for program and project delivery.
  • Position the EPMO as a strategic center of excellence that defines how the organization plans, governs, and executes work across an integrated digital ecosystem.
  • Advance delivery of maturity by incorporating modern frameworks, portfolio intelligence, automation, and AI-enabled practices that strengthen forecasting, prioritization, issue detection, and execution discipline.
  • Build organizational capability through health checks, coaching, and targeted development.
  • Lead financial governance for the enterprise portfolio in partnership with Finance.
  • Align investment planning, budgeting, forecasting, capacity, and value realization to strategic priorities, ensuring resources are deployed effectively, and expected business outcomes are achieved.
  • Build a high-performing EPMO team with strong capabilities in portfolio management, program delivery, governance, and transformation execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Define the strategy for the enterprise portfolio management, workflow, and reporting ecosystem to provide real-time visibility into investment and delivery performance.
  • Expand the use of analytics, automation, and AI to improve forecasting, surface risk and dependency signals earlier, and strengthen executive decision-making.
  • Embed change leadership into major enterprise programs to drive adoption, readiness, and sustained business value.
  • Partner with HR and key stakeholders to assess organizational impacts and prepare the enterprise for process, technology, and operating model change.
  • Ensure communications, training, and readiness activities are integrated into delivery plans and executed with discipline.
  • Champion continuous improvement across enterprise delivery to increase speed, consistency, and quality.
  • Apply Lean principles and structured problem-solving to simplify processes, remove friction, and improve execution performance.
  • Use process analysis and workflow redesign to modernize delivery practices and strengthen the operating model across the portfolio.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required in business administration, management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • 7 to 10 years of experience in project management, business transformation, process improvement, or strategic planning, preferably in a large, complex organization with healthcare experience.
    • Minimum Experience: Demonstrated expertise in program and project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams, working in a matrixed environment, and driving strategic initiatives.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, lead discussions, and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
    • Able to build and sustain effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • Strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated commitment to cross-functional teamwork.
    • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and the Microsoft Suite required.
    • Strong change management skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • Knowledge of business operations, strategy development, and alignment of functional strategies with enterprise transformation efforts.
    • Familiarity with Agile project management principles, tools, and approaches.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
