Under the direction of the VP, Service Line Integration & Development, this position will be responsible for patient access management for Guthrie Medical Group operations. The primary focus is on operations and scheduling. Advises leadership on opportunities for improved workflow in quality, safety, access, and growth consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Guthrie Medical Group. Effectively allocates resources to implement the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the organization in the form of high-quality customer services while maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assists with developing and operationalizing patient access strategy and goals; responsible for execution and goal achievement.
- Facilitates all aspects of the Access Steering Committee, including conducting regular meetings, assisting with team coordination, identifying tasks, monitoring and documenting progress toward goals, and escalating barriers to achievement.
- Handles metrics reporting and distribution to key stakeholders.
- Works with other administrative staff to develop systems that standardize work processes related to patient access functions.
- Acts as a resource for Guthrie Medical Group operational leaders.
- Analyzes work processes and procedures where appropriate and implements changes to improve workflow and efficiency, supporting such changes with data and analysis.
- Recommends improvements in physical plan, including renovations, construction, and routine maintenance, to improve workflow and satisfaction.
- Works closely with Patient Access leaders on the Revenue Cycle team to ensure alignment and system integration.
- May have direct operational responsibilities for departments as assigned by the SVP COO Guthrie Medical Group.
- Performs other job-related duties as requested.
- Translates organizational goals into clear direction and helps prioritize resources for staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or other relevant field preferred. Experience in a relevant field will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 2 years' experience in project management required.
