Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global quality vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with Ranpak’s growth and innovation agenda.
- Establish a unified quality management system (QMS) across regions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on quality risks, opportunities, and performance.
- Drive quality performance across manufacturing sites, focusing on defect reduction, yield improvement, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
- Implement and sustain best-in-class methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP as applicable).
- Define and monitor key quality KPIs, ensuring actionable insights and accountability.
- Lead supplier quality strategy for global sourcing and manufacturing partners.
- Establish robust supplier qualification, auditing, and performance management processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure supply chain resilience and quality consistency.
- Oversee product quality across Ranpak’s portfolio, including protective packaging materials and automation systems.
- Partner with R&D and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded in product design and development.
- Lead field quality and reliability initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Champion a “voice of the customer” culture by integrating customer feedback into quality improvements.
- Lead resolution of major customer quality issues and escalations.
- Enhance field service quality and ensure consistent system performance in customer environments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable global standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and others as relevant).
- Maintain audit readiness and oversee internal/external audits.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global quality organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability building across regions.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in global manufacturing environments.
- Experience in industrial equipment, packaging, automation systems, or related sectors strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading global quality transformations and driving measurable performance improvements.
- Deep experience with supplier quality and global supply chain ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Expertise in quality systems and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma – certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks and regulatory standards (ISO certifications).
- Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and geographies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and executive presence.
