Sr Director, Global Media Investment Strategy
About the role
The Sr Director, Global Media Investment Strategy leads the global investment framework that powers SharkNinja’s media engine. This role requires a deep understanding of media investment, financial planning, and strategic alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the global marketing and media budget, ensuring optimal allocation across enterprise priorities, seasonal initiatives, and core business drivers.
Define and lead a globally consistent investment governance model enabling transparency, accountability, and performance tracking.
Design and implement an agile investment operating model that enables real-time decisioning based on performance signals.
Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to align investment with revenue-driving priorities.
Lead enterprise-level partnerships including DAAs, JBPs, and strategic platform agreements.
Oversee global agency contracts and negotiations to unlock efficiencies and value-added opportunities.
Standardize tools, processes, and reporting frameworks to enhance investment efficiency and scalability.
Pilot new platforms, new first to market opportunities, and ad tech solutions to expand reach and engagement.
Uncover and unlock incremental business value through media partnerships.
Serve as the primary media investment lead across internal teams including Marketing, Social, Finance, and Commercial.
Build a global investment leadership framework, while connecting and integrating the local teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and market nuance.
Collaborate with in-house and external partners to ensure seamless execution of enterprise investment strategies.
Lead and mentor a high-performing global media investment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
Act as a key member of the senior media leadership team, providing expert investment insights to guide strategic decisions.
Present investment strategies and performance updates to executive leadership with clarity and influence.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in media investment, financial planning, or marketing operations—ideally in product technology, CPG, or high-growth consumer categories.
Proven track record managing large global budgets and driving ROI improvements.
Experience building agile investment models and dynamic budget frameworks.
Strong financial acumen including forecasting, ROI modeling, and performance measurement.
Expertise in agency management, contract negotiation, and enterprise partnerships.
Experience in multinational, matrixed organizations with a proven ability to drive operational transformation.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A passion for innovation, a bias for action, and a track record of driving measurable business growth through media investment.
