About the role

The Senior Director, Global Business Systems will partner with both ITS commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, Service, Training, Operations, HR) and the Information Technology (IT) team to develop and enhance application systems supporting the global commercial enterprise. The role will collaborate with functional business leaders to improve processes, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize the number of platforms required to operate the ITS business.

Responsibilities

• Work with key business colleagues to establish the strategy and direction for IT systems required to support each major area of the business.
• Provide strong leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of application systems.
• Ensure system designs are thoroughly documented, reviewed, and tested against functional specifications through Change Management, integrated well with existing systems, and adequate information is provided for field and production support staff.
• Review progress on projects and request work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, to scope, and with high quality.
• Meet with key business colleagues to establish priorities, review work, and attend relevant meetings.
• Lead and manage a small team of business systems professionals in a player/coach model, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop and manage departmental expense and project budget(s).
• Perform special projects as requested by the ITS President.

Requirements

• Strong IT fluency and ability to work with IT teams to architect and deploy solutions.
• Understanding of Sales, Marketing, Service, Financial, Human Resource, Supply Chain, and Training processes and the computer systems that support these processes.
• Specific experience and prior success in the implementation and support of CRM (Salesforce.com, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, etc.) and ERP systems (SAP, Siebel).
• Expertise in application development and application support processes.
• Skilled in project management lifecycles, work plan creation and reporting, task management, programming techniques, and testing methodologies.
• Global organizational experience managing people in multiple countries, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
• Track record delivering multiple foundational projects simultaneously that provide significant benefit to the organization.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and experience in Service Oriented Architecture environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years managerial experience in an Application Development group creating and managing expense and project budgets.
• Experience with large-scale project management, managing multiple projects.
• Performance-management experience including hiring, developing, and maintaining a highly effective development organization.
• Strong team-building and team leadership skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated leadership and executive maturity, acting appropriately in stressful situations.
• Ability to set applications strategy and roadmap.
• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule

Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Pay

Competitive salary offered: $175,000 - $200,000, based on experience.
