About the role

At Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), one of Danaher’s 15+ operating companies, you will lead the global Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and environmental sustainability strategy. This role ensures compliance, reduces risk, and drives continuous improvement across IDT’s manufacturing sites, regional sales, research, service, and warehouse facilities worldwide. You will report to the Vice President, Global Operations and be based on-site at one of IDT’s U.S. locations: Coralville, IA; San Diego, CA; Raleigh, NC; Boulder, CO; Fargo, ND; or Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement a global EH&S and environmental sustainability management strategy, programs, policies, and procedures for IDT.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements through compliance programs and standard work for environmental reporting.
  • Lead a global facility EH&S review process to detect hazards, determine corrective measures, and ensure implementation.
  • Keep the global EH&S team updated on relevant laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead all OpCo, Danaher, and external EH&S audits (e.g., FM Global), develop action plans to resolve findings, and implement countermeasures.
  • Serve as the IDT global contact for government agencies, the Danaher point of contact for IDT, and the IDT representative on the Danaher EH&S Operations Leadership Council.
  • Provide leadership on EH&S issues, assist IDT management in understanding business impacts, and enable resource allocation and decision-making to improve EH&S performance.
  • Drive a collaborative, team-oriented EH&S culture across the business and engage the workforce at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven track record of driving the EH&S agenda in a multi-site, global manufacturing organization.
  • Broad EH&S experience, including subject matter expertise, project/process leadership, and department or functional area management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple workloads, and meet timelines.
  • Must reside in the U.S. with frequent travel to Coralville, IA (relocation to Iowa preferred). Estimated travel: 40-50%, including 10% global travel.
  • Ability to view issues systematically and logically.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EH&S-related licenses, certifications, and/or membership in professional associations.
  • Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions (due diligence and integration) and risk/liability management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Business Continuity Planning and supervising BCP teams and activities.

Pay

The annual salary range for this role is $170,000–$240,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.

This is an on-site role based at one of the following locations: Coralville, IA; San Diego, CA; Raleigh, NC; Boulder, CO; Fargo, ND; or Madison, WI. Frequent travel (40-50%) is required, including 10% global travel.
