About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director Consumer Communications to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, brand performance, and measurable demand creation. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing consumer communications team with clear accountability
- Define and implement an integrated consumer communications strategy across multiple areas
- Drive product communication narratives aligned with the company's roadmap
- Set the narrative vision for lifestyle and culture representation in the media
- Oversee creator communication practice to enhance storytelling with public figures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful consumer campaigns
- Manage communications strategies for major consumer-facing moments, ensuring story coherence
Qualifications
- 14+ years of experience in consumer communications or related fields, especially with consumer brands or tech companies
- 5+ years of management experience in leading communications teams with a focus on diversity and high performance
- Proven expertise in creating integrated consumer communications strategies across multiple channels
- Established relationships with top-tier media in consumer and lifestyle sectors for shaping narratives
- Exceptional storytelling skills demonstrated through high-quality consumer-facing materials
- Ability to advise and influence senior executives and drive team alignment in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of cultural trends and insights for effective strategic positioning
Pay
$256,001 – $448,002 annually
Schedule
In-office collaboration requirement 1-2 times per quarter in key cities (LA, NY, SF)
