Job Summary

As the Sr Director of Brand Creative, you will be responsible for shaping the creative direction of Petco’s master brand. You will lead a skilled team of creative professionals, collaborating with our clients and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative, visually striking, and effective branding solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for the Petco brand and the Creative Services team, defining the creative direction, and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure creative strategies align with business objectives.

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a primary contact for creative services. Understand client objectives and translate them into creative strategies that drive results and exceed expectations.

  • Creative Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute creative strategies across all platforms and media types. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology to continually enhance creative offerings.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of creative professionals, supporting their growth and development. Manage the department's workflow to meet deadlines and allocate resources effectively.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all creative deliverables meet high-quality standards, consistency, and brand guidelines. Oversee the review process to ensure accuracy and excellence in all creative materials.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the Creative Services budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet project needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven track record of at least 12 years in a leadership role within a creative agency or marketing environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in retail, digital advertising, or media services is highly desirable.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate client goals into creative solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • A deep understanding of design principles, copywriting, multimedia production, and emerging creative technologies.

  • Proficiency with industry-standard software and tools.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • An innovative mindset with a passion for staying current with industry trends.
