Sr Designer & Product Developer

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Designer & Product Developer to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will shape the creative and technical direction of soft goods products across the full development cycle, from initial concept through execution. You will partner closely with suppliers and factories to balance aesthetic vision, quality, cost, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate brings both a strong design sensibility and the technical depth needed to turn ideas into commercially viable products for children, infants, and lifestyle categories. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Design seasonal and timeless products for babies, kids, nursery, and lifestyle soft goods
• Define the aesthetic direction for color, materials, textures, and prints
• Create detailed technical packs, specifications, bills of materials, and construction outlines
• Work directly with fabrics, trims, and finishes while collaborating with suppliers and factories
• Balance aesthetics with quality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
• Innovate new product categories rather than simply refreshing existing lines

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of experience in design and product development for soft goods, especially for children and infants
• A portfolio demonstrating a blend of beauty and commercial viability
• Strong knowledge of textiles, construction methods, and technical specifications
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience collaborating with domestic and international suppliers
• Ability to maintain a macro vision while focusing on fine construction details

Pay

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually
