Responsibilities
- Develop detailed design layouts and produce accurate, complete drawings for engineering projects.
- Review and check all drawings for errors, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
- Incorporate red marks from review processes and make necessary corrections to drawings.
- Perform complex layouts and design calculations, including basic math and advanced trigonometry functions.
- Support the drafting team by providing guidance, training, and technical assistance.
- Ensure all drawings meet quality standards, interferences are resolved, and constructability is verified.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including bills of materials and dimensional checks.
- Cook up project requirements with engineering, procurement, and field teams.
- Review applicable codes and standards, such as API, AISC, and ASME, to ensure compliance.
- Perform additional duties related to project design and documentation as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of accredited drafting or design training preferred.
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience in tank, vessel, or fabrication design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Inventor, with advanced knowledge preferred.
- Strong understanding of various drafting disciplines including vessels and structural components.
- General knowledge of fabrication, purchasing, and field construction processes.
- Ability to interpret and apply design standards and codes such as API, AISC, and ASME.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and work thoroughness.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
Pay
Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $50.00 hourly
Schedule
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
